Opposition groups have started attacking the Western Local Government Commissioner, who acted correctly to establish the power of the Colombo Municipal Council, says Deputy Minister of Public Security Sunil Watagala.
He emphasizes that he is grateful to the Commissioner, who kept her back straight and performed her duties in accordance with the law, and that the public service protects his government.
While it is being said that public servants do not work out of fear, Deputy Minister Watagala states that public servants are being encouraged to work fearlessly.

කොන්ද කෙළින් තබා ගෙන පනත අනුව නිතියානුකුලව සිය රාජකාරීය කළ කොමසාරිස්තුමියට ස්තූතිවන්ත වන බවත් එම රාජ්ය සේවය සිය ආණ්ඩුව රකින බවත් හෙතෙම අවධාරණය කරයි.
රාජ්ය සේවකයන් බියට පත්ව වැඩ නොකරන්නේ යැයි කතාවක් හදාගෙන යන නමුත් මෙලෙස නිර්භයව වැඩ කරන්න රාජ්ය සේවකයන් තමන් දෝතට ගන්නා බවත් නි. ඇමති වටගල සඳහන් කරයි.
