85 safety schemes from the 30th!

 

Minister of Transport, Highways, Ports and Civil Aviation Bimal Ratnayake stated that 85 safety schemes will be introduced in vehicle operations from the 30th of this month.

The Minister also stated that it will be mandatory for passengers traveling in buses to issue tickets and that a joint program has been planned to be implemented in the operation of SLTB and private buses.

Minister Bimal Ratnayake stated,

“We will make tickets mandatory on buses. Then the bus owners can earn some income. The biggest problem now is that these buses are racing. The reason for the racing is that there are small bus owners who have one or two buses.

We have already started as a group of buses operating in Kandy and on the 138 route. Although we say companies, we should not collect all the SLTB and private buses operating on the 138 route and make it a system where the income can be shared at the end of the day.”

මෙම මස (30) වනදා සිට වාහන ධාවනයේදී ආරක්ෂණ යෝජනා ක්‍රම 85ක් හඳුන්වාදීමට කටයුතු කරන බව ප්‍රවාහන, මහාමාර්ග, වරාය සහ සිවිල් ගුවන් සේවා අමාත්‍ය බිමල් රත්නායක සඳහන් කරයි.

තවද බස් රථවල ගමන් කරන මගීන් සඳහා ප්‍රවේශ පත්‍ර ලබාදීම අනිවාර්යය කරන බවත් ලංගම සහ පෞදගලික බස් රථ ධාවනයේදී ඒකාබද්ධ වැඩපිළිවෙළක් ක්‍රියාත්මක කිරීමට සැලසුම් කර ඇති බවද අමාත්‍යවරයා සඳහන් කරයි.
අමාත්‍ය බිමල් රත්නායක සඳහන් කළේ,

“අපි බස්වල ටිකට් අනිවාර්ය කරනවා. එතකොට බස් රථ හිමියන්ට යම් ආදායමක් ගන්න පුළුවන්. දැන් මේ බස් රථ රේස් යන එක තමයි ලොකුම ප්‍රශ්නය තියෙන්නේ. රේස් යන එකට හේතුව තමයි පුංචි පුංචි බස් හිමියෝ ඉන්නේ ඒ අයට බස් එකයි දෙකයි තියෙන්නේ.

අපි දැනට පටන් අරගෙන තියෙනවා නුවර සහ 138 මාර්ගයේ ධාවනය වන බස් රථ සමූහයක් විදිහට. සමාගම් කිව්වට සමාගම් නෙමෙයි 138 මාර්ගයේ ධාවනය කරන ලංගම සහ පුද්ගලික බස් රථ සියල්ල එකතුකරලා ආදායම දවස අවසන්යේදී ශෙයා කරගන්න පුළුවන් ක්‍රමයකට කරන්න.”
