Government provides living allowance to children
The Cabinet has approved the provision of a living allowance to children under institutional care or guardianship and street children.
This is in accordance with a proposal submitted by the Minister of Women and Child Affairs.
Accordingly, a monthly allowance of Rs. 5,000 will be provided to children in institutional care and guardianship and street children.
A provision of Rs. 1,000 million has been allocated for the year 2025 for this.

රජයෙන් ළමයින්ට ජීවන වියදම් දීමනාවක්
ආයතනික රැකවරණය හෝ භාරකාරත්වය යටතේ වන ළමුන් සහ වීදි ළමුන් සඳහා ජීවන වියදම් දීමනාවක් ලබාදීමට කැබිනට් මණ්ඩල අනුමැතිය හිමි විය.
ඒ කාන්තා සහ ළමා කටයුතු අමාත්යවරිය විසින් ඉදිරිපත් කළ යෝජනාවකට අනුවයි.
ඒ අනුව, ආයතනික රැකවරණය හා භාරකරුවන් සන්තකයේ සිටින ළමුන් සහ වීදි ළමුන් සඳහා මාසිකව රුපියල් 5,000 ක දීමනාවක් ලබා දේ.
ඒ සඳහා 2025 වර්ෂය සදහා රුපියල් මිලියන 1,000ක ප්රතිපාදන වෙන්කර ඇත.
