මහනුවර හිල් කැපිටල් රොටරි සමාජය (Rotary Club of Kandy Hill Capital), රොටරැක්ට් සමාජය (Rotaract Club of Kandy Hill Capital) සහ මහනුවර ක්‍රිස්තු දේවස්ථානය (Christ Church Kandy) එක්ව සංවිධානය කළ ලේ දන්දීමේ වැඩසටහනක් 2026 ඔක්තෝබර් 9 වැනිදා මහනුවර ක්‍රිස්තු දේවස්ථාන පරිශ්‍රයේදී සාර්ථකව පැවැත්විණි.
මහනුවර රෝහල් ලේ බැංකුව විසින් අපේක්ෂා කළ ලේ පරිත්‍යාග 50ක ඉලක්කය ඉක්මවා යමින්, මෙම වැඩසටහන තුළින් සාර්ථක ලේ පරිත්‍යාග 90ක් රැස්කර ගැනීමට හැකිවීම විශේෂත්වයකි. ලේ පරිත්‍යාග කිරීමේ අරමුණින් පුද්ගලයන් 100කට ආසන්න පිරිසක් ඉදිරිපත් වී තිබූ අතර, සෞඛ්‍යමය සහ අනෙකුත් සුදුසුකම් හේතුවෙන් සියලු දෙනාටම ලේ පරිත්‍යාග කිරීමට නොහැකි වුවද, ඔවුන්ගේ සහභාගීත්වය වැඩසටහනේ සාර්ථකත්වයට විශාල ශක්තියක් විය.
මෙම ව්‍යාපෘතියේ සභාපතිත්වය මහනුවර හිල් කැපිටල් රොටරි සමාජයේ හිටපු සභාපති රසිකා බාස්කරන් (Rasika Baskaran) මහතා විසින් දරන ලදී. සහභාගී වූ සංවිධාන තුනම නියෝජනය කරමින් ඔහු මෙම වැඩසටහන මෙහෙයවීමට දායක විය.

මහනුවර රෝහල් ලේ බැංකුව අපේක්ෂා කළ ඉලක්කය ඉක්මවා යමින් ලේ පරිත්‍යාග 90ක් ලබාගැනීමට හැකිවීම පිළිබඳව සංවිධායකයෝ සතුට පළ කළහ. ප්‍රජාව එකමුතුව කටයුතු කිරීමෙන් සමාජයට විශාල යහපතක් ඉටු කළ හැකි බව මෙම වැඩසටහන මගින් යළිත් තහවුරු විය.

Rotary and Rotaract Clubs of Kandy Hill Capital and Christ Church Kandy Successfully Host Blood Donation Drive, Collecting 90 Donations
The Rotary and Rotaract Clubs of Kandy Hill Capital, in collaboration with Christ Church Kandy, successfully organised a blood donation drive on 9 October 2026 at Christ Church, bringing together generous donors, volunteers, and members of the public in support of a worthy humanitarian cause.
The initiative was a tremendous success, with 90 successful blood donations collected, surpassing the target of 50 donations set by the Kandy Hospital Blood Bank. Approximately 100 individuals came forward to donate blood, demonstrating the generosity and compassion of the community. Although not everyone who came forward was able to donate, the remarkable turnout contributed to the overall success of the campaign.
The project was chaired by Immediate Past President Rasika Baskaran of the Rotary Club of Kandy Hill Capital,who represented all three participating organisations. Through the collective efforts and collaboration of the clubs and Christ Church Kandy, the initiative successfully achieved its objective of supporting the community’s need for blood donations.
The event witnessed an enthusiastic response, with a large number of people gathering to support this life-saving initiative. The organisers expressed their immense happiness and gratitude for the public’s participation and commitment to helping those in need of blood transfusions.
The organisers also extended their heartfelt appreciation to the celebrities who generously supported the campaign by participating in video promotions and helping raise awareness about the importance of blood donation. Their valuable contributions helped spread the message and encouraged the public to come forward in support of this worthy cause.
